The slabs are honed from a single Suar tree, sometimes known as ‘The Rain Tree’, it is a majestic, prolific and sustainable source of timber originating from Indonesia where it was introduced by the Dutch settlers mid 19th century. These live edge slabs are left to dry out naturally and are then kiln dried any bark or loose material is gently removed leaving behind the natural shape of the original tree.
